In Korea, tourism demand for elderly people is increasing due to an aging society. It is widely accepted that the following six product attributes are important in group package tours: tour guide services, accommodations, food services, transportation, tourist attractions, and shopping. This study investigated the effects of the six product attributes of group package tours on word-of-mouth in the context of senior group package tours. In addition, this study examined the differences of the six product attributes of group package tours based on senior tourists' demographic characteristics. For this, data were collected from 331 elderly tourists who had traveled abroad on a package in Korea. The data analysis results indicated that tour guide services, accommodations, and food services aid to enhance word-of-mouth. In addition, the results of t-test and one-way ANOVA revealed that there were partially statistically significant differences in the product attributes of group package tours based on education level and marital status.

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of cultural heritage reality shows on destination tourism behavior intention. The research object was the Chinese cultural heritage reality show "Upped new, Old palace," which is produced by the Forbidden City of China. And 348 responses were collected from Chinese viewers of the show. It was analyzed that the historical and cultural perception was influenced by informationality, contents satisfaction was influenced by attractiveness of the cast, historical and cultural perception, behavioral intention was influenced by historical and cultural perception and contents satisfaction. This research complements the relevant research academically and provides some empirical data for the development and utilization of cultural heritage contents in regional tourism strategy.

In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, drone food delivery services are attracting attention due to its great advantages. However, there is no existing research on market segmentation in the context of drone food delivery services. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to segment sub-groups based on five sub-dimensions of perceived benefits, and identify the differences in the sub-groups according to demographic factors using the Answertree method. A total of 720 samples were used for analysis. As a result of the analysis for each expected benefit type, the split node of Answertree was created according to convenience, emotion, and compatibility, and significant market segmentation results were confirmed according to gender, age, education level, and marital status for each model. The risk estimates for each model are .392, .418, and .428, which implies a model accuracy of 60.8%, 58.2%, and 57.2%.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship among convention attributes, destination satisfaction, image, and loyalty. For this empirical study, secondary data from the '2019 Survey of Participants' employed by the Jeju Convention and Visitors Bureau was used. The results of this study demonstrated that 'convention attributes' had a positively partial effect on 'destination satisfaction' and the factors of 'destination satisfaction' were directly related to improving the destination image. Also 'improved destination image' had a significant effect on not only 'tourism destination loyalty' but also on 'convention destination loyalty'. These findings proved that enhanced convention attributes, destination satisfaction and image strengthened loyalty of the convention destination. Therefore, the local government or convention bureau should try to provide policies and support to lead to a better convention environment and professionalism for participants' satisfaction. Furthermore, in order to enhance the competitive advantage of the convention attributes, cooperation among destination suppliers is also necessary.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore travel agencies and how they will survive. In-depth interviews of 10 travel experts were conducted by asking questions about the present and future situation of travel agencies. The 10 travel experts selected for the survey have more than 15 years of work experience and the interviews were conducted from August 2020 to November 2020. In conclusion, first, it is necessary to change and innovate based on information and communications technology, such as platform linkage and system automation. Second, travel should be made safe, starting with domestic travel. Third, overseas travel should be activated as a priority for countries that have successful quarantine measures. Fourth, new products should be created based on value travel, rare travel, themed travel, and travel centered on hygiene and quarantine. Lastly, it is necessary to build domestic travel product contents that can impress regular customers.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate various facilities in 11 cities in Chungcheongbuk-do and draw up a final selection list of those that can be used as unique venues. Through the selection process involving experts from each field of Chungcheongbuk-do and officials from the tourism department, 19 Unique Venues were finally selected. Through big data analysis, 11 cities were derived and considered for promotion as a Unique Venue, and also presented resources to tour in conjunction with Unique Venues. The conclusions discussed were based on the results of the selection of the Unique Venues and the implications of big data analysis, and presented the overall contents for fostering the MICE industry in Chungcheongbuk-do.

The development of information and communication technology and COVID-19 have brought much attention to the meeting technology field of the convention industry. This study tried to investigate the effect of meeting technology characteristics on re-participation intention by applying perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as parameters, and by adopting the technology acceptance model. This study was conducted using an online questionnaire and collected a total of 410 effective responses, and found that meeting technology characteristics had a positive effect on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use and re-participation intention. This study is expected to be used as empirical data that helps establish practical strategies.

This study aims to develop and validate a comprehensive model exploring the effect of information quality on satisfaction, and how it contributes to loyalty to event fan pages on social media and intention to participate in events based on the stimulus-organism-response (SOR) model. A web-based survey was developed and distributed in the U.S. The sample included Facebook users who were subscribed to at least one event fan page, such as festivals, business, and cultural events. Using the partial least squares-structural equation model (PLS-SEM), the collected data was analyzed and the research findings empirically confirmed that satisfaction with event information provided by event providers on social media is significantly influenced by perceived usefulness and visual design. Additionally, satisfaction with event information is a critical antecedent of two focal constructs (i.e., intention to participate in the event and loyalty to the fan page).

The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in travel information needs and use characteristics of VR by segmented groups of travel personality. For the empirical study, an online survey was conducted in China. A total number of 600 responses were subjected to analyses. As a result of the cluster analysis based on travel personality type, three groups are distinguished, namely 'family tour group,' 'inactive tour group,' and 'assertive activity seeking group.' 'Family tour group' has a significantly high functional information needs, while risk avoidance needs is high for 'inactive tour group,' and 'assertive activity seeking group.' 'Assertive activity seeking group' perceives high usefulness of VR in destination, attraction, route, restaurant, and shopping place choice. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed with the directions for future study.

This study demonstrated the moderating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between perceived risk of dismissal and intention to stay, and suggested relevant findings. The research sample included full-time front-line employees from a five-star tourist hotel in Seoul. The survey period took place from July 1st to July 10th, 2021, and 280 structured questionnaires were distributed through convenience extraction (The final analysis were used 260 valid copies(93%)). The results are as follows. First, the academic implications are that the causal relationship between employees' perceived risk of dismissal due to the COVID-19 disaster and intention to stay, as well as the moderating effect of self-efficacy were theoretically proven. Second, the practical implication is that managers and employees need to prepare strategic alternatives to always prepare for the occurrence of unpredictable and uncontrollable situations following the COVID-19 disaster.
