This tutorial introduces procedures and methods for performing structural equation modeling using R. For this, we present the whole process of analyzing the structural equations model from the confirmatory factor analysis to the path diagram generation using the lavaan package, which is relatively well evaluated among the R packages supporting the structural equation modeling, together with the R program codes. Considering that research applying structural equation modeling techniques is the mainstream in a variety of social sciences, including business administration, and that there is growing interest in open source R, this tutorial focuses on researchers who are looking for alternatives to traditional commercial statistical packages and is expected that it will be a useful guidebook for them.

4ICT 산업의 R&D 투자가 타 산업에 미치는 파급효과 측정

This paper examines spillover effects of R&D investment in the ICT industry to other industries by analyzing panel data composed of 6 manufacturing industries for the period of 1983~2011. Major findings are as follows; (1) The increase of R&D investment in ICT industry has a significantly positive relationship with the increase in the value-added of the remaining 5 industries with 3~10 year lags, depending on the source of R&D funds and R&D stage. (2) More specifically, public R&D shows the spillover effects during 3~7-year lag periods, whereas private R&D started to exert spillover effects from 9-year lag. The result implies that the public R&D appropriately targets projects with more spillover effects. (3) Basic research, applied research, and development showed the spillover effects for the period of 9~10, 7~10, and 10-year lag, respectively. (4) The R&D investment in 5 other industries such as machinery, chemicals, and materials does not have positive spillover effects to the remaining industries. Few studies have been done to analyze the R&D spillover effects to other industries, with certain limitations. This study contributes to the existing literature by analyzing the spillover effects of the different R&D funds and R&D stages, and by considering various time-lag effects.

Recently, the growth of beauty industry such as plastic surgery and beauty is continued every year in Korea. With the increased interest in appearance based on the improvement of life standard and the development of media, people's perception of cosmetic plastic surgery is changing. Now, as the service for consumer satisfaction based on their desire, the perception of plastic surgery medical service is changed to the high value-added industry with the high growth potential. Thus, this study aims to suggest the strategies for providing the medical service that could satisfy customers, by drawing the factors cognized as important when customers aim to get the cosmetic plastic surgery, and then additionally analyzing the relationships of those factors. On top of performing the topic modeling based on customers' comments data of social commerce related to cosmetic plastic surgery, this study also conducted the network analysis for visualizing the relations of each keywords. The drawn main factors were divided by applying the sub-categories of the SERVQUAL theory, and the additional characteristics of plastic surgery were shown by referring the relevant previous researches. Moreover, the interview with the cosmetic plastic surgery specialists (plastic surgeons) and customers who actually received the plastic surgery, helped the understanding of the interpretation of each factor and the actual relevant phenomenons. The significance of this study is to draw and discuss the main factors that should be observed by Korean cosmetic plastic surgery medical institutes, by mining and analyzing the opinions of customers interested in the cosmetic plastic surgery and procedure with the use of topic modeling. In other words, the quality of medical service of cosmetic plastic surgery could be improved by presenting the key factors that could be considered by the cosmetic plastic surgery medical service suppliers and also the actual strategies.

This study aims to examine validity and reliability of the convergence talent measurement. Based on the comprehensive literature review on convergence and convergence talent, we draw 4 main competencies (convergence cognitive, accomplishment, problem solving, and attitude) and 10 critical aspects (creative thinking, critical thinking, cooperation, communication, problem-solving, knowledge accessibility, resource utilization, trust, openness, caring) for building an effective convergence-oriented organization. A validity and reliability test survey were conducted for the analysis to investigate the convergence talent scale. With a data of 151 employees in diverse companies, the results show that the factors demonstrated acceptable levels of validity and reliability. The empirical evidences of our study are 10 key aspects comprising four main dimensions which suggest an available scale for measuring the convergent talent for enhancing convergence-oriented organizations. Our research contributes to the expansion of academic and practical implications on convergence, especially in convergence-oriented organizations.

In order to enhance the competitiveness of tourism destinations, it is important to manage tourist products considering the characteristics of tourist destinations and the characteristics of tourists. In this study, we divided Seoul's tourism products into four parts (shopping, food, culture, and natural landscape) to explore if there are some direct connections between tourism product involvement, self-congruity, and functional congruity. The other research question is if the degree of tourism product involvement reaches a certain intensity, will the place attachment be generated and the destination satisfaction be fulfilled. The survey was the focus on the international visitors in smart city, Seoul by using the random sampling and convenience sampling and collected 250 data. Finally, we found that destination personality significantly affects both self-congruity and functional congruity. If self-congruity and functional congruity are formed, tourism product involvement will be stimulated which will finally satisfy tourists and arouse their place attachment. The implications of these findings contribute to destination marketers to develop more effective destination management.

Due to the uncertainty of dynamic business environment, modern organizations have been giving attention to dynamic capabilities beyond traditional notion of core competence. Among them, absorptive capacity and boundary-spanning activity are considered the most important. The former refers to activities regarding acquisition, assimilation, transformation and exploitation of internal and external knowledge. The latter is composed of boundary-loosening and boundary-tightening activities to detect internal or external information and then to preserve, protect, or acquire resources. Thus, both have achieved wide recognition as a potential source of change and innovation.
This study investigated the cross-level relation between boundary-spanning leadership at team level and absorptive capacity at individual level. We also explored self-efficacy and extra-role behavior that can affect employees' absorptive capacity. To test multi-level analysis, the survey data were collected from 862 members in 137 teams of different firms. Results revealed that boundary-spanning leadership had the positive cross-level impact on absorptive capacity in the team context. Moreover, absorptive capacity was positively associated with self-efficacy and extra-role behavior at individual level. Based on these findings, we provided theoretical and practical implications to address rapidly changing environments and discussed limitations of this paper for further research.

Variety of data have been opened or connected by several levels of government. In smart city initiatives, open data become the source of a new business model. This paper is to foster ways of public open data (POD) by analyzing the start-up company that utilizes POD. In order to fulfill it, this paper adapts the case study research. Findings say that POD has potential to validate and further enrich the platform business. But to find which types of public open data are most prevalent is insufficient. To do this, it is more needed that sophisticated and many cases should be examined. However, this paper shows that platform business by using POD could lead to reduce the cost and increase the benefits for both providers and customers. From the findings, this paper shows that public open data has an important role not only to boost new venture creations which are prevalent ways of smart city but also to foster different platforms enabling new value capture and creation according to development of internet of things based on ICT technology.

In order to overcome the limitation of market orientation concept, Narver et al. (2004) have extended the original concept into two dimensions, responsive market orientation (RMO) and proactive market orientation (PMO), respectively. Yet, there has been very limited empirical studies that analyzed the differential effects of each market orientation on firm outcomes, especially in the Korean context. We analyze the impact of RMO and PMO on the new product performance in the perspective of SMEs and examine the moderating effect of external factors such as environmental uncertainty and market similarity. The results of this study show that both RMO and PMO have a significant positive effect on the new product performance of SMEs. Also, environment uncertainty shows a negative moderating effect on the relationship between RMO and new product performance, whereas it has positive moderation with PMO. This suggests that focusing on potential customers' needs rather than current needs helps improve firm performance as the competitive environment surrounding the firm becomes more uncertain. Lastly, market similarity showed a positive moderating effect on the relationship between RMO and new product performance, but not on PMO.
