1서울 일부지역 중학생의 스마트폰 사용정도가 식습관에 미치는 영향

This study was a correlation study to analyze the effects of smartphone usage time on food choice perceptions and behavior in middle school students in Seoul areas. The subjects to be surveyed were middle school students attending junior high schools in Mapo-gu, Seoul. A total of 133, 102, and 102 students were in the first second, and third grades, respectively. The usage time of smartphones was the weekday and weekend usage time except for the call function. Food choice perception and its behavior as dietary habits were constructed referring to previous research and food balance wheels data for the correct dietary habits of the Ministry of Health & Welfare and Korean Nutrition Society. The food choice behavior was categorized into non-recommended food and recommended food. The results are summarized as follows. First, the longer the time spent on smartphones, the less favorable the perception of correct food choices. Second, the higher the dependence on smartphones, the less favorable the perception of correct food choices. Third, the correct perception of food choices has been shown to reduce food choices, known as non-recommended foods. In addition, proper perception of food choices has been shown to increase the choice of recommended foods. In conclusion, the usage time and reliance of smartphones of middle school students was found to affect the food choice behavior by lowering the perception of correct food choices. This research is expected to form the basis for the development of programs and educational materials that can be of assistance to adolescents who are experiencing difficulties.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress on job satisfaction according to interpersonal relationship type among school dieticians and nutrition teachers. The online survey was conducted from Oct. 26th to Nov. 7th, 2017 in 2,000 randomly selected dieticians and nutrition teachers in the capital area. A total of 453 collected questionnaires were used for analysis. SPSS v.21.0 Statistical Package Program was used for the statistical process. For the results regarding interpersonal relationship type of dieticians, open-type (73.3%) was the highest, followed by self-assertive-type (23.0%), isolated-type (2.6%), and careful-type (1.1%). Regarding overall job satisfaction, 'human relation' was the highest, followed by 'job itself', 'working environment', and 'personal rating & welfare system', in that order. According to interpersonal relationship type, in the case of 'open-type' or 'careful-type', job satisfaction was relatively high. Regarding overall job stress, 'job demand' was the highest, followed by 'lack of reward', 'organizational system', 'interpersonal conflict', 'occupational climate', 'job insecurity', and 'insufficient job control', in that order. In accordance with interpersonal relationship type, overall job stress index was high in terms of 'self-assertive-type' or 'careful-type'. For the results of analyzing the correlation between job satisfaction and job stress index, all areas showed statistically significant negative correlations. Multiple regression analysis was performed to study the effects of job stress on job satisfaction mediating interpersonal relationship type. Job stress had different effects on job satisfaction in terms of 'open-type' and 'self-assertive type'. In conclusion, different strategies are needed for dieticians with different interpersonal relationship types to improve job satisfaction and to reduce job stress.

This study was conducted to investigate the status of food allergy knowledge and management of the teachers and operators of child care facilities in the Daejeon Area. Surveys of 262 teachers and 50 operators of child care facilities in Dong-gu and Jung-gu in Daejeon were conducted. The prevalence of food allergies was found to be 3.6% (102 children). The average score of teachers in the anaphylaxis knowledge survey was 0.18±0.22. Additionally, the needs for food allergy education among teachers and operators was 88.2% and 98%, respectively. The survey revealed that all child care facilities in this study provide food service menus to parents, but only 14 facilities (28%) provided alternative food to children with food allergies, and some of these 14 facilities did not provide adequate alternatives. To ensure the safety and healthy growth of children with food allergies, it is necessary to provide food allergy education to teachers and operators, as well as to establish safe food service and allergy management systems in all child care facilities.

This study examined the customers' perception on Home Meal Replacement (HMR) products. Specifically, there were three research objectives: 1. to identify the customers' HMR purchase patterns and preference of HMR product development; 2. to identify the attributes of the HMR products that the customers perceive; and 3. to examine the customers' level of expectation-confirmation toward HMR product attributes according to the demographic characteristics. This study employed a self-administered survey that was distributed online from November 21∼24, 2017. The sample of the study was the customers who had purchased HMR products in the six months prior to taking the survey. A total of 553 respondents completed the survey, which was used for data analysis. The results revealed the customers' HMR purchase patterns. The major HMR product type of purchase was ready to heat (52.6%), while the main reason for purchasing HMR products was convenience (83.2%). For the differences in the level of expectation-confirmation toward HMR products in accordance with the demographic characteristics of customers, the results indicated that there was a difference in the expectation-confirmation level according to age, whereas the respondents aged 29 and under showed a significantly higher level of time-saving for the preparation and ease of cooking (P<0.05) than the other age groups. In addition, there was a significant difference in the expectation-confirmation level for saving meal preparation time (P<0.05) and convenience (P<0.01) among the customer's occupation. These findings can provide the basis for a strategy for developing HMR products reflecting the rapidly changing customers' needs. HMR products should be developed according to the specific target market, as the study indicated that the respective customer segmentation resulted in a difference in their expectation toward HMR products.

The purpose of this study was to compare wage treatment and the employment environment of school foodservice employees before and after conversion to indefinite contract status since September 2012 when the Ordinance on the Appointment of Education Officials (indefinite contract) under the Gangwon Provincial Superintendent of Education was applied as well as to examine the effects of wage treatment and the employment environment on job stability. The questionnaire survey was conducted from March 31 to April 10, 2017 for school foodservice employees working at 97 schools in Gangwon province. A total of 477 questionnaires were distributed and 470 questionnaires were used for the analysis. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS Window Ver.18.0. The detailed results of this study were as follows. First, wage treatment (2.29 vs. 3.16), employment environment (3.45 vs. 4.22) and job stability (1.88 vs. 2.35) revealed significantly positive perceptions after conversion to indefinite contract status compared to before conversion. Second, after analyzing leading factors influencing job stability, it was revealed that wage treatment (before: βâ = 0.516, P<0.05; after: βâ=0.465, P<0.05) had a positive (+) effect on job stability, whereas employment environment did not affect job stability. In conclusion, in the context that most school foodservice employees are contract employees, this study is significant in that the changes in the employment policies of the national government and education office were confirmed to have effects on school foodservice employees.
