This study aims at investigating whether the new Korean Language Teacher Training program(baeum-ieum-teo) for Korea Immigration and Integration Program(KIIP), by National Institute of Korean Language which was put into practice in 2019 promotes prospective Korean language teachers' awareness of Korean language. In doing so, 48 current Korea Immigration and Integration Program teachers participated in the study. The data was collected through a questionnaire. The results of the study revealed that, in terms of multicultural society or policy, teachers prefer theoretical lectures. In terms of educational contents, it is found that teachers prefer practicum or discussion-formatted program. Also, in case of 5+ years experienced teachers, it is revealed that there is a greater demand for an environment that can enhance professional competency rather than operating classes. The topics teachers want to take in the future were teaching materials and teaching methods. Through the results of this study, we propose that Korea Immigration and Integration Program should include the contents on national policy regarding immigrated learners of Korean. We also suggest continuous development of programs that contain teaching and teaching materials that can be practically applied in class.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the evidence presented in the Korean argumentative texts by different topics is different. In order to do this, three topics were selected to collect Chinese Korean learner's argumentative text and then we extract the evidence reflected in the learner's argumentative text. 9 learners were then interviewed for the process of evidence generation and the reasons for the use of individual evidence. Friedman test was conducted to confirm whether the evidence reflected in the Korean argumentative texts is different. As a result, significant inter-group differences were found in the use of presumption evidence, disguised claim evidence, data evidence, mass media evidence, and legal provision evidence. There was no significant inter-group difference in empirical evidence, real life evidence, common sense evidence, and classical evidence. The use of evidence was influenced by the topic and mainly appeared in the difficulty of finding data on the topic, the evidence that was relevant only to a particular topic, and the topic familiarity. This study is meaningful to provide basic information for argumentative writing for Chinese Korean learners.

This study addresses how English speakers who are learning Korean acquire Korean causatives that mostly involve animate subjects. 30 native speakers (NK) and 60 English-L1 learners (29 Intermediate level learners and 31 High level learners) participated in the experiment. Participants were required to undertake the Acceptability Judgement Task to examine how English-L1 learners acquire the knowledge of the causative structure '-key hata' according to the types of animate subjects and inanimate subjects. The result shows there is no explicit difference among the three groups of participants in the usage of causative sentences with animate subjects. However, Korean speakers and English-L1 learners have different tendency of using inanimate subjects in causative sentences due to the influence of English. This observation implies explicit grammatical explanation is needed for learners to identify the preference of animate subjects in Korean causative sentences.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of Korean language educational research papers for academic purposes and to suggest the direction of Korean language education research for academic purposes based on the results. This study analyzed 800 articles related to 'Korean for Academic Purposes' that can be searched by Riss and KCI using topic modelling and language network analysis method. In this paper, we review the detailed topics, main word pairs, linguistic knowledge structure, and language network in Korean language for academic purpose and analyze the characteristics of the study trends. As a whole, studies on 'Writing','Speaking' and 'Evaluation' were most studied in the education of Korean language for academic purpose.

This study aims to present app development procedures and models for Mobile Assisted Sino Korean Vocabulary Learning. It is based on learning content through the principle of word formation. Using Keller's ARCS Motivation model, the design of the Sino Korean Vocabulary learning mobile app, app flow chart, and app screens were created. The paper discusses mobile learning, which is connected to paper textbooks, and is useful in reinforcing a learners'vocabulary. Mobile Assisted Vocabulary Learning (MAVL) allows students to use mobile devices on their own for self-directed learning without any time and space constraints. This study will contribute to the development of mobile vocabulary learning apps in the future.

Through this research, it is intended to improve the critical media literacy of the Chinese by designing this educational scheme. In recent years, research on improving the media literacy of Chinese people has become increasingly important in response to the low media quality of Chinese people. To this end, firstly in this study the concept and extension of media literacy are examined, and secondly the relationship between media literacy and critical thinking is examined, based on that the concept of critical media literacy is redefined. At the same time, the new forms of literary works in the media age are identified. Using this as a contact, the two concepts of media literature and critical thinking have been re-linked. Through the discussion of the above concepts and relationships, the educational principles of critical media literacy are reorganized.
To be more specifically, in this study, it is focused on the various media forms of Yoon Dong-Ju's poetry and a educational scheme is designed aiming at improving Chinese media literacy. In this scheme the understanding process and appearance of Chinese learners are investigated. And hopefully through this scheme to grasp the process of Chinese learners' understanding of diversified media texts and critical understanding of these media texts. Finally, through the above investigation, a critical media literacy teaching program suitable for Chinese people was designed. I hope this study can be used as a reference basis for future media literacy research, and also a new perspective and a way of thinking for Chinese students is provided by using Korean literary works as a medium. And it facilities the students to re-examine their media literacy, critically understand various media texts, and make their own critical value judgments in line with social values and ethical attitude.

본 연구에서는 21세기 언어 학습자들의 문식성 향상을 위한 한 방안으로서, 다중문식성과 표준 외국어 학습 목표를 교수법적 토대로 하여 전래동화를 활용한 문화간 소통 학습과제들을 제시하고자 한다. 전래동화는 그동안 본격적인 한국어문화 학습교재로서 널리 채택되어 오지는 않았으나, 효과적인 어문화학습 항목으로서 목표 문화적 산물이며, 학습자들에게는 목표어문화의 구성원들 간의 보편적인 문화적 현상과 사고의 관점을 접할 수 있게 한다. 이렇듯 전래동화를 어문화 학습자료로 활용함으로써 학습자들은 언어학습뿐만 아니라 다양한 문화적 측면에 대해 알게 되고 비교와 분석, 해석, 감상과정을 통해 문화간 의사소통능력과 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있다. 전래동화 텍스트를 단순한 읽기 자료로서 제시하는 것과는 달리, 본 연구에서는 다중문식성적 접근을 통해 비판적 사고 능력은 물론 상황적 경험, 개념적 이해, 유의미하고 창의적인 적용 과정에서의 학습활동들을 고안하여 제시하였다. 또한, 초중고급별로 학습자들의 언어숙련도를 고려하고, 현대적 삽화를 이야기 순차적으로 제시하였으며, 의미생성을 위한 복합양식적 표현수단(multimodality)을 적극 활용하여 해석적, 상호적, 발표적, 문화간 의사소통활동들을 고안하는 과정을 보였다. 끝으로, 설문을 통해 도출된 학습자들의 자가학습평가 결과를 토대로 전래동화 교과과정 개발에 대한 교육적 함축을 논의하였다.

This study aims to analyze the Korean language learning strategies according to the variables of Myanmar learners and provide educational implications that can be applied in the educational field. For this reason, SILL was used to analyze Korean Learning strategy and the findings of this study were analyzed according to learner variables. As a result, it was found that there was a significant differences in the use of learning strategies according to learners'variables. Female learners were more likely to use strategies than male learners. And then academic purpose learners were more use than general purpose learners and job purpose learners. Furthermore, second year students used strategy the most, and the mid-Korean achievement learner group used strategy most. This study was meaningful in that it was possible to objectively identify the use of strategies by quantifying and specifically identifying the strategies that learners use and how they learn Korean. In addition, this study suggested a method that can be used in the classroom for efficient teaching and learning of Korean Language. Based on these findings, it is expected that a systematic methodology for teaching learning strategies that fit the characteristics of Korean language learners in Myanmar in the future.
